COURSE
DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to
introduce some options that students may consider using to accomplish their
plans with efficiency and effectiveness. It involves establishing a formal structure
to enhance organizing and coordination of resources to achieve the objectives.
Course
Objectives:
At the end of this course, the
student will be able to:
1. Discuss
the purpose of an organizational chart.
2. Develop
an organizational chart.
3. Describe
and analyze the different types of organizational structures that exist in
institutions.
4. Differentiate
between line and staff authority.
5. Describe
the steps in organizing human resources.
6. Explain
why career development is important.
7. Develop
a job description of RN in a specific unit.
8. Discuss
change theory and the role of a change agent.
